Unit 9: Skin Care and Eye Treatments
• Superficial and deep cleanse,
• Skin analysis, toning,
• Facial massage,
• Masks (clay, natural, commercial and specialised),
• Eyebrow and eyelash enhancement (tinting and eyebrow shaping).
Unit 10: Make-up
• Make-up selection and application for daytime, evening, special occasion,
• Bridal and corrective make-up techniques.
• Correct use of cosmetics according to skin type.
• Cosmetic science – products and ingredients.
Unit 11: Manicure and Pedicure
• Nail filing,
• Cuticle work,
• Massage and specialised treatments -hot oil,
- paraffin wax,
- hand mask,
- foot mask,
- exfoliation and thermal treatments
• Application of enamel and varnish including French polish.
Unit 12: Waxing
• Use of hot wax,
• Cool wax and sugaring,
• Pre/after wax lotions.
• Waxing of – lower leg,
- upper leg,
- bikini line,
- under arm,
- forearm,
- chin, lip and eyebrows.
Unit 22: Professional Conduct and Business Awareness
